Group 9

To Jack, Jimmy, Tommy, Trains, and Gus….

Ha! You thought that once the California trip was over you were DONE with me. Wrong. No such luck.

See, I like a good wrap-up. A photo album of a great vacation … a little montage of my favorite characters at the end of a movie … a three-minute highlight reel of last night’s Flyers game (but only if they won).

It’s been two weeks since our Santa Barbara trip, and I realized there was a bit of unfinished business concerning our jaunt to California: A wrap-up.

I think I was feeling cheated because it went by so fast. I had this urge to confirm that it actually happened. So, I went back and looked at our old emails and texts and photos, and suddenly I had myself a little project. For the past few days I’ve spent what may be an unhealthy amount of time squirreled away at my computer, cutting and pasting, getting everything into one place. I started with the emails and texts going back to last summer—all of them full of stupid, dopey, witty comments and endless mocking and taunting between the six of us. And I finished it all off by getting Jack’s photos, adding them to mine and the ones Francesca gave me, and editing them down to a reasonable size.

Now it’s all done, and I feel better. I have my wrap-up—electronic proof that all us bozos actually got together in California for a weekend in January to hang out and tell old stories. So, if you want to re-live the glorious Group 9 trip in painful and excruciating detail, you’re in luck. Read on.

Gents, that trip was amazing. Now someone win the lottery so we can do it again and this time fly First Class. We’d be in GROUP 1 !!!
